A Kingdom for Hope is an adoption drive event that aims to raise awareness against the illegal dog meat trade in the country. Dogs that have been rescued from being slaughtered for their meat were up for adoption at the event.

The sponsors were also in full swing that day, with loaded booths generous giveaways - and also adding the free services, really a great bargain considering the low P50.00 donation fee for registering in the event.
The program of the event also featured several activities, including a dance number and a guest speaker, and games, including trivia games that gave away prizes for event attendees that were able to give the correct answer.
Mr. Richard Yap, a local celebrity, stopped by the event in support of Pet Starz. Mr.Yap also went on stage to vocalize his support for AKF's mission on animal welfare for the askals.
The event culminated with a pack walk around Centris Walk, with participants carrying placards to show support for AKF.
The event was a huge success. Of the five dogs that AKF brought for adoption, three dogs were brought home on the spot - giving loving homes to these dogs that were moments away from being killed for their meat.
Thank you to all the attendees and sponsors for A Kingdom for Hope. See you all at the next event!
